Do you have a major sports fan in your family? Good news! You don’t have to plan your vacation around games and sporting schedules, you can cheer on your team right from Disney property! Whether you like to be with a crowd or prefer a smaller gathering, there’s an option for you. Here are the top 5 places where you can catch a game in Walt Disney World:
5. Resort Pool Bars
Almost every resort at Walt Disney World has a poolside bar or lounge featuring one television. Seating is limited in these locations. If you are looking for a laidback and casual viewing of a game, then this is a great option for you. The standout in this category is Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. This poolside eatery features an open air bar, cozy atmosphere, and several televisions showing the most popular sporting events.
4. Resort Lounges
Several Disney resorts have bars and lounges serving up snacks and libations while providing a comfortable indoor atmosphere for watching your team. A fan favorite is Rix Lounge at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. This lounge is quite a bit larger than other resort lounges and features multiple televisions to give you the most options.
3. Your Resort Room
Looking for a quiet place to enjoy the game in peace? There’s no better option than your Disney resort room. The Walt Disney Company operates the ESPN network so those channels will be readily available to you as well as most other networks that feature sporting events. Afraid you may miss some Disney magic by staying in your room? Stay in a deluxe resort on the monorail loop and you can watch fireworks from your room or catch the Electrical Water Pageant! Everyone wins and hopefully your team does too!
Splitsville is located in Disney Springs. It is a HUGE bowling alley with a separate dining room. There are televised sports on multiple televisions throughout the facility whether you are bowling, dining, or both (you can have your meal at your lane). Additionally, there is the Patio Bar which has several viewing options as well.
1. ESPN Club
This is the Shangri-La of sports viewing in Walt Disney World. Literally every seat has a great view of a televised sporting events. It is important to note that during major sporting events this location fills up quickly so you’ll want to arrive early. There’s also the option of purchasing VIP seating for major events as well.
