Top 5 Activities for Kids at Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa

Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa is a fantastic destination for a family vacation. Here you can escape to paradise and base in the sun while your whole family is provided with endless entertainment, including even the youngest of travelers! My family of 15 recently experienced an amazing vacation at this resort with 5 children under the age of 6 and I’ve compiled a list of the “top 5 activities for children” at Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa.

5. Disney character breakfast at Makahiki

Enjoy breakfast with a little “character”

What’s better than relaxing at the beach and having breakfast with some of your favorite Disney characters? Start your day with a buffet breakfast that might include family favorites, traditional Asian offerings, and even a build-your-own omelet station! While you fill your stomach with delicious entrées your family will also enjoy visits from some classic Disney characters in their best beach gear! *Reservations for this dining option are highly recommended.

4. Ka Wa’A – A Luau at Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa

When you think Hawaii one of the firs things that come to mind is a luau, and you can bet that Disney doesn’t disappoint! Performances are held on select nights and reservations are highly recommended. Before the show guests are invited to participating in various activities that display the Hawaiian culture. During the show you are treated to a traditional buffet complete with a suckling pig and prime rib station. This show is not to be missed!

3. Endless water activities

Your kids will be thrilled with the endless water activities at the resort! The lagoon is perfect for swimming and paddleboarding. Beach  equipment, including chairs and beach toys, are complimentary to guests. Snorkels and paddleboards are available for rent. Waikolohe Valley is home to a lazy river, 2 waterslides, and pool parties with your favorite Disney characters throughout the day! For your smaller kids the Menehune Bridge area has 2 smaller waterslides and a play structure for them to explore. Keiki Cove is a fun splash pad for the smallest water babies in you family. For more adventuresome swimmers, Rainbow Reef offers the opportunity to snorkel with some native marine life in a private, saltwater lagoon, for an extra fee.

Splash the day away!

2. Menehune Adventure Trail

When culture and technology combine you know your kids will have a good time! This complimentary activity encourages your kids to solve riddles, search for statues, and discover enchanted landscapes at every turn. Simply check out one of the special cell phones from the Pau Hana community center and get started on your adventure!

  1. Aunty’s Beach House

Kids explore Hawaiian culture, art and music – with a dash of Disney magic – at this supervised activities club for kids ages 3-12. The best part, almost all activities are complimentary with your resort stay! Mom and dad can enjoy a relaxing day together, complete with a romantic dinner, all while the kids are playing the day away!

Your children will be entertained by “Aunty” while you enjoy some alone time.

When considering your next family vacation, look no further than a stay at Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa. Your whole family will thank you for years to come!
