It’s time to break out the hot chocolate and snow boots and deck the halls at Walt Disney World! Just kidding, I know it’s still only July, but today it was announced that many different holiday offerings, and even some new touches, will be starting at the Walt Disney World Resort on November 8!
The holiday season at Walt Disney World is one of the most magical times to visit and I know many of you will be excited to hear about all the returning celebrations, and new surprises that await guests who will be visiting in November and December. Beginning at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Sunset Season’s Greetings will be returning. During the evening the Hollywood Tower Hotel will be transformed with new laser effects and spectacular projections of some of your favorite Disney characters including Olaf, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! will also return to delight guests with fantastic projections and lasers in the center of the park. Even though things have just kicked off at the all-new Toy Story Land, it is scheduled to get a new holiday overlay including holiday songs on Alien Swirling Saucers!
Magic Kingdom park will continue it’s holiday tradition of hosting Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. This separate ticketed event is hosted on various nights and includes some spectacular holiday magic for the entire family.
One of the best things about visiting Epcot is experiencing the cultures of other nations in the World Showcase and that tradition will continue with the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays. This festival is scheduled to begin on Nov. 18 and will be a memorable experience for your entire family. Beginning Nov 22, guests can experience the Candlelight Processional as it makes it’s way through the park nightly. This one-of-a-kind event features guest narrators who recite the Christmas Story complete with an orchestra and choir. It is a family favorite at Epcot!
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the magic of nature will experience a holiday touch by incorporating Diwali, the holiday Festival of Lights in India as part of the new live show UP! A Great Bird Adventure.
The holiday décor continues throughout the Walt Disney World Resorts and Disney Springs. Complete with festive decorations and even some life-sized edible creations there is so much to explore throughout every corner of the resort! And to finish all your holiday shopping be sure to check out Disney Springs for the perfect gifts for the entire family!
